By default, Windows 7 does not send deleted items from a flash drive to the Recycle Bin. Instead, it just deletes the files immediately, so if you delete anything by accident you are screwed basically. How can I make it behave like files on my computer? Where when I delete them, they go to the Recycle Bin so I have a change to undelete?
This is a major bug in Windows I believe. Why doesn't windows just make a reference to the flash drive in the Recycle Bin, while it is plugged in. It can copy the files to a temp folder on the C-drive when the user presses delete, then when they empty the recycle bin, it can actually delete them. I do not see why they did not make it like that? How do I set up Windows to send deleted items from my flash drive to my Recycle Bin?
It's not a bug, it's your diligence. They don't even get onto your computer unless you load them as they only work from the flash drive. If it bothers you, then copy your entire flash drive onto your computer C drive then deletions from there will go to the recycle bin.
