How can I set Yahoo as my default email with a Windows 7 system?

I am trying to set Yahoo as my default email. From a recommendation on the internet, I downloaded Yahoo IM thinking Yahoo mail would be placed on the general list of default programs. Accessing the list of programs by Start/Default Programs/Set Default Programs, I do not see Yahoo mail as an option. How do I get Yahoo mail on the list of default programs?How can I set Yahoo as my default email with a Windows 7 system?
