How do I change the default printing options on my hp printer?

I don't buy color ink for my printer and I would like to default the printing options to black %26amp; white. If I don't do it each time, the colored portions of something, for example, email addresses, don't appear.How do I change the default printing options on my hp printer?
It's usually a printer setup in the printer driver on the computer that controls whether or not it's color or black %26amp; white.

This is for WinXP since you didn't say what operating system you have.

Click on ';Start';

Go to ';Settings'; and click ';Printers %26amp; faxes';

Right click on your printer %26amp; select ';Printing Preferences';

Find the tab that has the color option selection (mine is the ';Paper/Quality'; tab)

Select the ';Black %26amp; White'; option and click Apply then close the window

That should set your default for future printing, but you have to close all the applications currently open then restart them for the default to take affect.

Best of luck.
