How do you change the default background/text color of Microsoft Powerpoint?

I have a computer with Microsoft Powerpoint 2003. However, I always use a light brown background and white words. It get very annoying to change it every single time I want to make a powerpoint. Is there a way to make a default background (currently white)/default text color (currently black) different colors?How do you change the default background/text color of Microsoft Powerpoint?
