How do i change the default colour mode on photoshop cs3 from grayscale to RGB?

When ever i open photoshop cs3 the default colour mode is Grayscale. How do i change the default to RGB mode? ThanksHow do i change the default colour mode on photoshop cs3 from grayscale to RGB?
As far as I know there is not a default for this. The settings for the document are based on the previous document you created. If you make a new document with the RGB selected, every other document created after that point should default to RGB unless you switch it to something else. How do i change the default colour mode on photoshop cs3 from grayscale to RGB?
As mentioned by the person before me, you can't change the default, BUT you can change it once the file is opened.

Just click on Image %26gt; Mode and select 'RGB Color'. When you save that image and open it again it will be in RGB Mode unless you change it to something else (this could be using a different program) or the file type you saved as does not support RGB Mode (for example, GIF files are Indexed mode).

Try saving your files in Photoshop Format (PSD) they support RGB Color mode.
Just create a new file and make sure you switch it to RBG colour mode, then select all, cut or copy and close the document. Go to File and create another new document and it should preserve your previous settings until you copy another image. Usually Photoshop CS3 gets its default settings from the current clipboard or previously used settings.
