How do i get Firefox to default to saving files?

I click on a file on a web page then i get the ';You have chosen to open'; dialog and the default is always ';open';, the ';Do this automatically for files like this from now on'; is disabled and can't be checked.

That means that every DAMN TIME i have to grab the mouse and click on ';save'; - it is very annoying.

Does anybody know how i can enable the ';Do this automatically'; so I will automatically get the file save dialog instead of this idiotic choice?

I expect you are using ';DownLoad Them All'; you will find the solution for the defaults in the ';down load the all'; Manager PreferencesHow do i get Firefox to default to saving files?
Eh what?

Am i using an addon called ';DownLoad Them All'; or what are you saying?

No, I'm using the standard Firefox.

This is NOT RESOLVED - useless answer (the real answer is you have to edit the mimetype.rdf file because they don't want to give you a proper inteface)
