If it doesn't have the recovery partition (while booting up) - then your gonna need the recovery disks from the manufacture.
Well if you don't have the recovery disks then you can't restore it to factory default. Go to best buy and get a copy of Windows 7. Put it in your computer and then turn it off. Turn it back on, all PC's will give you 5 seconds while it says ';Press (blah) for options'; or something like that. Press the button to get the commandprompt options and there should be one somewhere in there that says ';Boot from Disk'; or something similar. Choose that option and it will load the software from the Windows 7 disk.
It'll probably ask you if you want to install Windows 7, and yeah, you do. Windows 7 is better and it will restore your computer to a better factory default.
