How do you check what your default streaming application is?

I can't get videos to play on youtube and one of the things it told me to do was ';Ensure other applications like Quicktime, iTunes, Real Player, or Windows Media Player aren't set as the default streaming application, as this might affect the video player.'; How do I go about doing that?How do you check what your default streaming application is?
Sounds like a flash player problem,

First uninstall your old version of flashplayer (look under add/remove programs if there/you may not have an old version installed) then reboot.

Download Adobe Flash Player for Windows Internet Explorer the latest direct link to the installer is always here:

You will also need Shockwave for Windows Internet Explorer latest version direct link is always here:

Just save the installer somewhere on your PC/ close your browser then click to run and it will install.

If you use Netscape/Opera/Firefox/Mozilla/Safari you can get the latest from here:%26gt;%26gt;http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/鈥?/a>

Then go here and test your flash and shockwave to see they are working and installed ok:

Just in case. Make sure you have flash turned on%26gt; Open Internet Explorer %26gt; Tools %26gt; Manage Add-ons %26gt; Enable or Disable Add-ons %26gt; Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer%26gt;make sure Shockwave Flash Object is Enabled.

Sometimes some AntiVirus and Spyware software block the activex :)

In respect of your question read #6 here:

check the settings of those applications, cancel the tick before the ';setting as the default video player';
