How do you set Mozilla Firefox as your default browser?

I've used: Tools%26gt;Options%26gt;Advanced%26gt;General%26gt;Default Settings to confirm it.

However, when I open shortcuts, take links from non-internet programs and connect using desktop drivers for video games, it still uses Internet Explorer.How do you set Mozilla Firefox as your default browser?
it's nothing to do with the default browser, you have Internet explorer still set as your default program to open .htm, .html and other web files and pages when a link comes up right click and select ';open with'; then choose firefox and click use this as default, if that doesn't work you need to go to folder options in control panel and set the file type for all internet files to open with firefoxHow do you set Mozilla Firefox as your default browser?
1. At the top of the Firefox window click on the Tools menu and select Options

2. Select the Advanced Panel, then click the general tab, and then click ';check it now';

3. select Yes to make firefox your default browser
Go to tools option at the top bar.then to options where the last option will be advanced-general then check the option in the system defaults.
